Bio
Ed Asher Briant is a British-born illustrator and author who is part of the Monhegan Island artist group in Maine, USA. He has published 12 books and graphic novels with major publishers, and produced numerous illustrations for the New York Times, Rolling Stone, and many other publications.
Asher published his first picture book for children, PAPER PARADE, in 2004, which won a FLYING START award from Publishers Weekly.
Since then he has published more a dozen books, mostly for children, including two Young Adult novels.
Recently Asher has begun printing his own books from linocuts, and hand binding them. His subject matter has mostly been the birds and flowers of Monhegan Island, although he has written two story books: MOONDOG and MESSAGES FROM NO-MAN’S LAND.
